About Us
About us
The Better Day Community Care was founded in 2023 with a simple mission: to provide person-centric, goal-focused support that empowers individuals to live their best lives. Based in Toowoomba, we noticed a gap in the community support services market and set out to fill it by offering tailored care that aligns directly with the unique goals and needs of each participant.

We pride ourselves on delivering not just support, but also life skills development through highly skilled and compassionate staff. Our team is dedicated to building lasting relationships with participants, their families, and the community to foster an environment of trust and support.

Our Story
With over a decade of experience in the community services industry, Sam Thomas, the Founder and Director of The Better Day Community Care, has witnessed firsthand the challenges individuals face when support services don’t fully meet their personal goals. Driven by a passion for building meaningful connections, Sam’s focus has always been on delivering care that is tailored to the unique needs of each participant.

Sam’s dedication to the field has led him to work closely with individuals, families, and teams to ensure that the care provided truly empowers participants to live their best lives. He continues to prioritise ongoing education and training for his staff, ensuring they have the skills and tools necessary to help participants achieve their aspirations and improve their quality of life.

Sam is not alone in his mission. His wife, Zoe Thomas, who brings a background in psychology, works alongside him to assist with client relations. Zoe’s expertise allows a unique and empathetic approach to supporting families, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and well-supported throughout their journey. Together, Sam and Zoe offer a compassionate and holistic approach to community care, combining professional experience with a deep understanding of human behavior and family dynamics.

This partnership between Sam and Zoe Thomas strengthens their ability to build positive relationships with participants and their families, making The Better Day Community Care a place where people truly feel valued and supported.
